There's a few things we confessedly and unabashedly DIG around here.
1. Fast Cars
2. Passion
3. Family
4. Fast Cars
5. Passion
6.....
I think you get my point.
Valerie Clements of VCR (Valerie Clements Racing) combines all of the above into a cool story of growth and development while pursuing something she and her brother/tuner are passionate about.
Valerie started her racing career at 2001 at the tender age of 8 in Jr. Dragsters. From 01-07, she bracket raced Jr. Dragsters, then started heads up racing (330 Outlaw Jr. Dragsters).
She loved the competitive nature of heads up racing from the jump!
Eventually, she turned 18 and aged out of the Jr. Dragsters. So what next?
The following season, she jumped strait into NMRA Renegade in her 2005 Ford Mustang that was powered by a Vortech supercharged mod motor.

They spent her first year in NMRA (2012) getting her accustomed to a full size car, running a slew of low 9s and dipping into the 8.00s. She wasn't far off the mark (in 2012, 8.40s were competitive).
At the end of the year, she received NMRA's Rookie of the Year Award.
For her second season, her brother and tuner set it to kill.
In her own words "My second year is when the real fun started..."
As she progressively got quicker, she won her first NMRA event at MIR and finished fourth in points for 2013.
Eventually, they swapped the mod motor for a pushrod combo with a Procharger. She's expanded her competitive class from NMRA Renegade to include Ultra Street/Ultimate Street and NMCA Extreme street.
In 2016, she had a Semi Finals finish at the Import vs. Domestic World Cup Finals. She also finished runner up at the National Trails Raceway NMRA race.

For 2017, she's been focusing on tuning and hasn't missed a NMRA race. She's currently in the top ten and is looking to improve on her semi final finish at this years World Cup Finals.
