After our article on saving two '67 Mustangs at the same time, you can't help but notice that there's multiple toys in BJ's shop. So, I started annoying BJ with a slew of questions about the cars present and I couldn't get over this ride...
Rather sedate looking isn't it? Just like that nice dog roaming the neighborhood until it bit the piss out of you. BJ gets a hoot out of cruising this thing around on 10 holes and even pulls a boat occasionally with it for giggles.
What makes this car special you ask?
It sports a Coyote swap backed by a TKO and the rest of the supporting mods needed.
It has been a best pass of 10.97 at 124mph and puts down 457 rwhp.
The quick and dirty on the car is as follows:
2015 GT engine 7900 miles
Tremec TKO 5 speed
3160 lb race weight
The suspension consists of:
Strange full adjustable shocks and struts
QA1 tubular k member and a arms QA1 coil overs
Maximum Motorsports c&c plates
Manual rack with steering shaft
Double adjustable heim joint upper/lower control arms
Stock 4 cylinder rear springs.
35 spline strange spool, axles and c clip eliminators
Needless to say, the car leaves hard...
The beautiful thing about a car like this is that it's perfectly mannered on the street. BJ can and has driven this car when ever and where ever he wants to without issue. Other than a tune and exhaust, the car's engine is stock. Even down to the air box....
